Y5 Day of Respect of Cultural Diversity

Y5 Day of Respect of Cultural Diversity

Día del Respeto a la Diversidad Cultural

Olivos Primary – Y5

“Diversity is the melody that turns the symphony of humanity into a masterpiece.”

Last Friday, October 20th, Y5 students were in charge of the Ceremony for the Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity. In it, all those present in Brightman Hall were able to reflect on the different ways in which we can appreciate diversity, such as music, dance, sports, literature, and much more. Students got to work and took ownership of different resources that were used to carry out the presentation. They were in charge of editing audio, videos, and creating choreographies. Likewise, they took advantage of the Foyer space to organise and present stands dedicated to different cultures, bringing flags, characteristic texts, photographs, political maps, and even representative foods from each country. We thank Y5 teachers and the entire team for their work!

Before the ceremony, Y5 students welcomed Ignacio Oviedo, a player from the Argentine blind soccer team, who came to share his experiences and advice. He reminded us all of the importance of never giving up, never surrendering, and always fighting for our dreams. Thank you, Ignacio!

¡Gracias Ignacio!
