Staff Professional Development
Over the course of two training days, the teaching teams from Kindergarten and Primary at the Olivos and Nordelta sites had the opportunity to continue deepening their professional learning within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP).
This enriching experience provided a valuable space for reflection, collaboration and shared learning, allowing teachers to revisit their practices, strengthen their understanding of the IB conceptual approach and explore new strategies to design meaningful learning experiences for their students.
Throughout the training, teachers further explored the principles of the IB framework, reflecting on the role of students as active participants in their own learning journey and on the importance of creating opportunities that foster inquiry, reflection and the development of skills.
The sessions also focused on the role of the teacher as a guide and facilitator, creating learning environments where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, construct knowledge and develop the skills needed to become curious, reflective and engaged members of their communities.
It was a highly enriching and rewarding professional development experience, which renewed our teachers’ commitment to an education that inspires students to continue learning, growing and making a positive impact on the world around them.
Durante dos jornadas de capacitación, los equipos docentes de Kindergarten y Primaria de los campus Olivos y Nordelta tuvieron la oportunidad de continuar profundizando su formación en el Programa de la Escuela Primaria (PYP) del Bachillerato Internacional (IB).
Este encuentro fue un espacio enriquecedor de reflexión, intercambio y aprendizaje colaborativo, donde los docentes pudieron revisar sus prácticas, fortalecer la comprensión del enfoque conceptual del IB y explorar nuevas estrategias para diseñar experiencias de aprendizaje significativas para sus alumnos.
Durante la capacitación, los docentes profundizaron en los principios del enfoque IB, reflexionando sobre el rol del alumno como protagonista de su propio aprendizaje y sobre la importancia de diseñar propuestas que promuevan la indagación, la reflexión y el desarrollo de habilidades.
Asimismo, se trabajó sobre el rol del docente como guía y facilitador, generando espacios de aprendizaje donde los alumnos puedan formular preguntas, explorar, construir conocimientos y desarrollar las habilidades necesarias para convertirse en personas curiosas, pensadoras y comprometidas con su entorno.
Fue una capacitación muy enriquecedora y gratificante, que renovó el compromiso de nuestra comunidad docente con una educación que inspira a los alumnos a seguir aprendiendo y transformando el mundo que los rodea.
