Friendship and Service in action! 🍊🌱
Once again, the Kinder Olivos families came together with great enthusiasm to take part in our Marmalade Project. This time, families joined their children on a walk around the neighbourhood to collect bitter oranges from the trees growing along the sidewalks. Later, they peeled and chopped the oranges together as a family, taking the first steps in the process of making our homemade marmalade. Finally, the K4 children were in charge of selling the products to the community, and all proceeds will be donated to Banco de Bosques, an organisation that works to protect and preserve native forests across Argentina. Once again, this project invites us to learn by doing, connect as a community, and turn small actions into meaningful opportunities to care for our environment.
Una vez más, las familias del Kinder de Olivos se unieron con entusiasmo para ser parte de nuestro proyecto de mermeladas de naranjas amargas. En esta oportunidad, acompañaron a sus hijos a recorrer el barrio y recolectar naranjas de los árboles que crecen en las veredas. Luego, en familia, las pelaron y cortaron para dar comienzo al proceso de elaboración de nuestras mermeladas. Finalmente, los niños de K4 se encargaron de vender la producción a la comunidad, y todo lo recaudado será destinado a Banco de Bosques, una organización que trabaja para proteger y conservar bosques nativos a lo largo de nuestro país. Una vez más, esta propuesta nos invita a aprender haciendo, compartir en comunidad y transformar pequeñas acciones en oportunidades para cuidar nuestro ambiente.
