Fostering Student Agency, Participation and Leadership
At Northlands, we continue to create opportunities for our students to develop their agency, strengthen their leadership skills and actively contribute to our school community.
As part of this ongoing initiative, our Student Council of Primary Olivos held a new meeting with Catalina Paso Viola, our Head of Primary.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for students to share their perspectives on their classes, reflect on their peers’ needs and interests, and discuss how they could contribute to making school life even better. It was also a space for them to bring forward ideas and proposals, knowing that their voices are heard and valued.
These encounters encourage our students to take an active role in their class and school community, develop their agency, and understand that participation involves listening, sharing ideas, collaborating and working together to make a difference.
En Northlands, seguimos generando oportunidades para que nuestros estudiantes desarrollen su agencia, fortalezcan sus habilidades de liderazgo y participen activamente en la construcción de nuestra comunidad.
En el marco de esta iniciativa, nuestro Student Council tuvo un nuevo encuentro con Catalina Paso Viola, nuestra Directora de Primaria.
La reunión fue una valiosa oportunidad para que los chicos compartieran sus miradas sobre sus grupos, reflexionaran acerca de las necesidades e intereses de sus compañeros y conversaran sobre cómo contribuir para hacer la experiencia en el colegio aún mejor. También pudieron acercar ideas y propuestas, en un espacio donde sus voces son escuchadas y valoradas.
Estos encuentros invitan a nuestros alumnos a asumir un rol activo dentro de su comunidad, desarrollar su agencia y comprender que la participación implica una responsabilidad: escuchar, compartir ideas, colaborar y trabajar juntos para hacer la diferencia.
