An Experience: The Traveling Photography Museum at Our School
It was an enriching experience to welcome the Museo Itinerante de Fotografía to our school. This cultural event has been touring the country for three years with the aim of bringing the art of photography to new generations.
This time, the exhibition arrived at the Nordelta site during the Kermesse on Saturday, April 5th, and remained open the following week with guided tours for students of all ages.
The event combined artistic appreciation with an extremely valuable practical aspect. Through activities such as the “Camera Obscura” and the use of pinhole cameras, students were able to learn the technical fundamentals of pinhole photography.
Based on the experience, the primary ND school students took photos exploring this art form as a means of expression.
Also, ND Year 9 and Year 11 Visual Arts students participated in a photography workshop led by photographer Gustavo Ciancio, during which they built their own cameras in which they built their own pinhole cameras, captured images, and developed their negatives in a darkroom.
This experience not only allowed students to connect curricular content with sensory and creative experiences, but also sparked a deep curiosity and interest in the origins of photographic art and its many forms of expression.
Experiencia enriquecedora al recibir en nuestra institución el Museo Itinerante de Fotografía, una propuesta cultural que, desde hace tres años, recorre el país con el propósito de acercar el arte fotográfico a nuevas generaciones.
En esta ocasión, la muestra llegó a la sede Nordelta durante la kermés del sábado 5 de abril, y se mantuvo abierta toda la semana siguiente con visitas guiadas para estudiantes de todas las edades.
La propuesta combinó la apreciación artística con una dimensión práctica sumamente valiosa. A través de actividades como la “Cámara Oscura” y la utilización de cámaras estenopeicas, los alumnos pudieron conocer los fundamentos técnicos de la fotografía estenopeica.
A partir de la experiencia los alumnos de primaria sacaron fotos explorando esta forma de arte como medio de expresión.
Tambien los alumnos de Artes Visuales de Year 9 y Year 11 sede Nordelta participaron de un taller de fotografia dictado por el fotógrafo Gustavo Ciancio, en el cual construyeron sus propias cámaras estenopeicas, capturaron imágenes y revelaron sus negativos en un cuarto oscuro.
Esta vivencia no solo permitió vincular los contenidos curriculares con experiencias sensoriales y creativas, sino que también despertó una profunda curiosidad e interés por los orígenes del arte fotográfico y sus múltiples formas de expresión.
