🌍 Y2: We Are Responsible for Our Planet
Our Y2 Olivos students have reached the end of their third Unit of Inquiry, “We Are Responsible for Our Planet”.
Throughout these weeks, they worked on developing conceptual understandings through the key concepts of causation and responsibility. They inquired into how people’s actions can bring about changes in the environment and came to understand that our choices have consequences and that, therefore, we are responsible for our actions and for caring for our planet.
As a culmination of the unit, the students created models of different landforms found on Earth, putting into practice, applying and communicating everything they had learned throughout their inquiry journey. Their creations are currently on display in the Primary reception at Olivos, and the students are very happy and proud to be able to share them with our whole community. We would especially like to thank our families for their support and collaboration in preparing the materials used to create these amazing models.

Los alumnos de Y2 Olivos llegaron al final de su tercera Unidad de Indagación, “Somos responsables de nuestro planeta”.
A lo largo de estas semanas, trabajaron en la construcción de comprensiones conceptuales a partir de los conceptos de causa y responsabilidad. Indagaron cómo las acciones de las personas pueden generar cambios en el ambiente y comprendieron que nuestras elecciones tienen consecuencias y que, por eso, somos responsables de nuestras acciones y del cuidado de nuestro planeta.
Como cierre de la unidad, los estudiantes realizaron maquetas sobre distintas geoformas de la Tierra, en las que pudieron poner en juego, aplicar y comunicar todo lo aprendido a lo largo de su proceso de indagación. Sus producciones están actualmente expuestas en la recepción de la Primaria Olivos, y los chicos están muy contentos y orgullosos de poder compartirlas con toda la comunidad. Agradecemos especialmente a las familias por su acompañamiento y colaboración en la preparación de los materiales utilizados para realizar estas increíbles maquetas.
