A Planetarium at Northlands!
As part of the transdisciplinary theme How the World Works, Y6 students embarked on a journey through the Universe, exploring the planets of our Solar System, their characteristics and their place in space.
Working in groups, they researched different planets, created their own 3D models and prepared scripts to share their discoveries with Y3 students.
Their learning came to life when they transformed part of the school into an immersive space museum, creating their very own planetarium! Through their presentations, Y6 students shared their knowledge, sparked curiosity and introduced their younger peers to the wonders of the Universe. To make the experience even more special, each group prepared a souvenir for their visitors.
It was a wonderful opportunity for students to take ownership of their learning, develop their communication skills and discover how sharing knowledge can inspire others.
En el marco del tema transdisciplinario Cómo funciona el mundo, los alumnos de Y6 emprendieron un viaje por el Universo, explorando los planetas del sistema solar, sus características y su lugar en el espacio.
Organizados en grupos, investigaron sobre los distintos planetas, crearon sus propios modelos 3D y prepararon guiones para compartir sus descubrimientos con los alumnos de Y3.
Todo lo aprendido cobró vida cuando transformaron un sector del colegio en un museo inmersivo del espacio, creando su propio planetario. A través de sus presentaciones, los alumnos de Y6 compartieron sus conocimientos, despertaron la curiosidad y acercaron a los más pequeños a las maravillas del Universo. Para hacer aún más especial la experiencia, cada grupo preparó un souvenir para sus visitantes.
Fue una muy linda oportunidad para que los alumnos asumieran un rol protagónico en su aprendizaje, desarrollaran sus habilidades de comunicación y descubrieran cómo compartir lo que saben puede inspirar a otros.
