Y9 Sports Tour to Chile
Hockey
The tour provided players with the opportunity to compete in different sporting environments and continue developing both technical and personal skills. The matches against Craighouse and Grange presented demanding challenges that contributed to the team’s growth. Beyond the results, the students demonstrated adaptability, commitment, and a noticeable improvement in their performance throughout the week.
The experience concluded at Lincoln with a training session and integrated matches alongside students from the host school. This initiative encouraged cultural exchange, shared learning, and the building of new connections through sport.

Rugby
The tour was a valuable opportunity for both sporting and personal growth. Against Craighouse, the students faced a high-level challenge, standing out for their competitive attitude, defensive strength, and ability to implement tactical adjustments during the game.
In the match against Grange, they successfully applied key aspects that had been developed throughout the year, particularly in game continuity and breakdown situations, achieving a positive result. The experience concluded at Lincoln with a shared rugby clinic, where the focus was on learning, integration, and enjoyment of the sport.

Softball
Despite having a small group, the students participated actively in all the scheduled activities. At Nido de Águilas, they had the opportunity to lead a clinic for younger students, sharing their knowledge and demonstrating great enthusiasm for the sport.
The encounters with Grange and Lincoln contributed to the development of their game, the teaching of rules, and their adaptation to new challenges. Throughout the tour, the students showed initiative, leadership skills, and an excellent willingness to learn and collaborate.

Swimming
The tour gave the students the opportunity to train in different environments and share experiences with students from other schools. At Nido de Águilas, they took part in a demanding training session, where they demonstrated a high technical standard and a great willingness to embrace new challenges.
At Grange, they participated in recreational and team-building aquatic activities, while at Lincoln, due to the absence of a swimming pool, they joined the softball activities, taking part enthusiastically and showing remarkable adaptability.
We congratulate the students for their attitude, effort, and willingness to make the most of every experience offered.
Volleyball
The tour was an excellent opportunity to strengthen group bonds, develop communication skills, and consolidate teamwork. Throughout the matches, both the girls’ and boys’ teams showed technical progress and successfully applied concepts that had been developed during the year.
The girls’ team achieved very positive results, winning all their matches and demonstrating a high level of commitment and teamwork. The boys’ team approached every match with great effort and resilience, competing without substitute players and maintaining an exemplary attitude throughout the tour.

La gira permitió a las jugadoras enfrentarse a distintos contextos deportivos y continuar desarrollando tanto aspectos técnicos como personales. Los encuentros frente a Craighouse y Grange representaron desafíos exigentes que favorecieron el crecimiento del equipo. Más allá de los resultados, las alumnas demostraron capacidad de adaptación, compromiso y una marcada evolución en su juego a lo largo de la semana.
La experiencia culminó en Lincoln con una jornada de entrenamiento y partidos integrados junto a alumnas del colegio anfitrión. Esta propuesta promovió el intercambio cultural, el aprendizaje compartido y la construcción de nuevos vínculos a través del deporte.
Felicitamos a todas las jugadoras por la forma en que representaron al colegio, destacándose por su actitud, compañerismo y espíritu deportivo.

La gira constituyó una valiosa oportunidad de crecimiento deportivo y personal. Frente a Craighouse, los alumnos afrontaron un desafío de gran nivel, destacándose por su actitud competitiva, solidez defensiva y capacidad para aplicar ajustes tácticos durante el juego.
En el encuentro con Grange lograron plasmar aspectos trabajados durante el año, especialmente en la continuidad del juego y los puntos de encuentro, obteniendo un resultado positivo. La experiencia finalizó en Lincoln con una clínica deportiva compartida, donde el foco estuvo puesto en el aprendizaje, la integración y el disfrute del rugby.

Softball
A pesar de contar con un grupo reducido, los alumnos participaron activamente en todas las actividades programadas. En Nido de Águilas tuvieron la oportunidad de liderar una clínica para estudiantes más pequeños, compartiendo conocimientos y demostrando un gran entusiasmo por el deporte.
Los encuentros con Grange y Lincoln favorecieron el desarrollo del juego, la enseñanza de reglas y la adaptación a nuevos desafíos. A lo largo de la gira, los alumnos demostraron iniciativa, capacidad de liderazgo y una excelente disposición para aprender y colaborar.

En Nido de Águilas participaron de una exigente sesión de entrenamiento, donde demostraron un destacado nivel técnico y una gran predisposición para afrontar nuevos desafíos.
En Grange compartieron actividades acuáticas recreativas y de integración, mientras que en Lincoln, ante la ausencia de piscina, se incorporaron a las actividades de softball, participando con entusiasmo y gran capacidad de adaptación.

La gira fue una excelente oportunidad para fortalecer los vínculos del grupo, desarrollar la comunicación y consolidar el trabajo en equipo. A lo largo de los encuentros, tanto el equipo femenino como el masculino evidenciaron progresos técnicos y pudieron aplicar contenidos trabajados durante el año.
El equipo femenino obtuvo resultados muy positivos, ganando todos sus encuentros y demostrando un alto nivel de compromiso y juego colectivo. El equipo masculino afrontó cada partido con gran esfuerzo y resiliencia, compitiendo sin posibilidades de recambio y sosteniendo una actitud ejemplar durante toda la gira.
