Y6 Nordelta visited the National Congress
As part of the Unit of Inquiry “How We Organise Ourselves”, Year 6 students explored how a State is built through the interactions between the economy, politics and society. As a meaningful conclusion and extension of this learning process, they had the opportunity to visit the, one of the most emblematic and significant buildings in our country.
This educational visit allowed students to connect the concepts studied in the classroom with real-life experiences, observing closely how one of the key institutions of Argentine democracy functions. During the tour, they explored the spaces where deputies and senators debate and create the laws that organise life in society, developing a deeper understanding of the importance of dialogue, participation and citizen representation within a democratic system.
The experience also encouraged critical thinking and meaningful learning, as students were able to apply their previous knowledge, make connections with the topics explored throughout the unit, and recognise that historical and political processes are dynamic constructions that continue to evolve over time.
Without a doubt, visiting the National Congress was a unique opportunity to learn through experience, bringing students closer to history, citizenship and the functioning of the State in a vivid, concrete and memorable way.
En el marco de la Unidad de Indagación “Cómo nos organizamos / How We Organize Ourselves”, los alumnos de Year 6 exploraron cómo se construye un Estado a partir de las interacciones entre la economía, la política y la sociedad. Como cierre y profundización de este proceso de aprendizaje, realizaron una enriquecedora visita al, uno de los edificios más emblemáticos y significativos de nuestro país.
La salida didáctica brindó a los estudiantes la posibilidad de conectar los contenidos trabajados en el aula con la realidad, observando de cerca el funcionamiento de una de las instituciones fundamentales de la democracia argentina. Durante el recorrido, pudieron conocer los espacios donde diputados y senadores debaten y elaboran las leyes que organizan la vida en sociedad, comprendiendo la importancia del diálogo, la participación y la representación ciudadana en un sistema democrático.
La experiencia favoreció el pensamiento crítico y el aprendizaje significativo, ya que los estudiantes pudieron poner a prueba sus conocimientos previos, realizar conexiones con los temas abordados en la unidad y comprender que los procesos históricos y políticos son construcciones dinámicas que continúan transformándose en la actualidad.
Sin dudas, visitar el Congreso de la Nación fue una oportunidad única para aprender desde la experiencia, acercando a los alumnos a la historia, la ciudadanía y el funcionamiento del Estado de una manera viva, concreta y memorable.
