Building Connections: Y6 and Y1 Begin Their Big Brothers/Sisters - Little Brothers/Sisters Journey - OP

Year 6 and Year 1 students had their first meetings as part of the Big Brothers/Sisters – Little Brothers/Sister Programme. During these special gatherings, Year 6 students prepared cards to introduce themselves and discover what they had in common with their Year 1 buddies. They also shared meaningful moments together, including learning about Founder’s Day, being introduced to the school song, and exploring games they can enjoy during break times. These experiences created a warm and welcoming space to begin building trust and connection. Following these first meetings, students have started sharing some break times together, continuing to strengthen their bond and their sense of community within our school.

Los alumnos de Year 6 e Year 1 tuvieron sus primeros encuentros como parte del programa Big Brothers/Sisters – Little Brothers/Sisters. Durante estos espacios, los estudiantes de Y6 prepararon tarjetas para presentarse y descubrir qué cosas tenían en común con sus compañeros de Y1. Además, compartieron momentos significativos, donde conversaron sobre Founder’s Day, aprendieron la school song y exploraron juegos para compartir en los recreos.
Estos encuentros generaron un espacio cálido para comenzar a construir vínculos de confianza y cercanía. A partir de estas primeras experiencias, comenzaron a compartir algunos recreos juntos, fortaleciendo así el vínculo entre ellos y el sentido de comunidad dentro del colegio.
