Tree Day Celebration in Olivos Primary
Last week, our Y3 students explored the significance of Tree Day, which in Argentina is celebrated on 29 August. They went on a tour around Kinder, Primary and Secondary, where our gardener Diego shared an informative talk about trees and their importance.
In addition, during their PSE lessons, the students took part in an “Emotion Tree” activity, connecting what they had learnt with their own feelings and reflections. It was a special way to celebrate and to raise awareness about the value of trees in our environment and in our lives.
To conclude this process, a group of brave Y3 representatives led an assembly for the whole Primary, in which they shared their research and reflected on the importance of trees for our planet. The students who took part received a certificate awarded by their teachers and a very special gift: a tree with plantable seeds as a symbol of life and future.

La semana pasada, los alumnos de Y3 investigaron sobre el significado del Día del Árbol, que en Argentina se celebra cada 29 de agosto. Realizaron un recorrido por Kinder, Primaria y Secundaria, donde nuestro jardinero Diego compartió una charla informativa sobre los árboles y su importancia.
Además, en las clases de PSE, los estudiantes realizaron la actividad de un “Árbol de Emociones”, relacionando lo aprendido con sus propios sentimientos y reflexiones. Fue una manera especial de celebrar y tomar conciencia sobre el valor de los árboles en nuestro entorno y en nuestras vidas.
Para cerrar este proceso, un grupo de valientes representantes de Y3 llevó adelante un assembly para toda la primaria, en el que compartieron su investigación y reflexionaron sobre la importancia de los árboles para el planeta. Los estudiantes que se animaron a participar recibieron un certificado otorgado por sus docentes y un presente muy especial: un árbol con semillas plantables como símbolo de vida y futuro.
