Visit to the Modern Art Museum of Buenos Aires - Y4 Olivos

As part of their Unit of Inquiry, “How We Express Ourselves – Fascination Art”, Olivos Y4 students had the opportunity to visit the Museum of Modern Art in Buenos Aires. During their visit, they explored the captivating works of Dalila Puzzovio, an Argentine artist known for her pioneering approach that bridges art and fashion. Dalila’s works, such as Dalila Self-Portrait and Dalila Double Platform, have solidified her status as a pop icon, while deepening her exploration of the human body and the relationship between art, fashion, and media. Throughout the visit, students, along with their teachers, reflected on how art and media influence individuals and society, fostering a space for dialogue and critical thinking. This experience not only provided a direct opportunity to engage with key concepts from the Unit of Inquiry but also allowed students to make interdisciplinary connections across different areas of learning. It was a day that helped them build meaningful understandings and recognize the impact of art in the world around us.

Como parte de la Unidad de Indagación “Cómo nos expresamos – Fascination Art”, los alumnos de Year 4 Olivos realizaron una enriquecedora salida educativa al Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires. Durante la visita, tuvieron la oportunidad de explorar las fascinantes obras de Dalila Puzzovio, una artista argentina destacada por su innovador enfoque que cruza el arte y la moda. Las obras de Dalila, como Dalila Autorretrato y Dalila Doble Plataforma, consolidaron su lugar como un ícono pop, profundizando sus reflexiones sobre el cuerpo humano y la relación entre el arte, la moda y los medios de comunicación. A lo largo de la visita, los estudiantes, junto a sus docentes, reflexionaron sobre cómo el arte y los medios de comunicación influyen en las personas y la sociedad, creando un espacio de diálogo y pensamiento crítico. Esta experiencia no solo fue una excelente oportunidad para explorar de manera directa conceptos clave de la Unidad de Indagación, sino también para establecer conexiones transdisciplinarias entre las diferentes áreas de aprendizaje. Fue una jornada que permitió a los alumnos construir aprendizajes significativos y comprender el impacto del arte en el mundo que nos rodea.
