ADE Junior & Inter Rugby

Junior
It was a great tournament for our representative team. The weather was favourable, and the boys were able to display their full potential on the pitch. Throughout the day, they maintained exemplary behaviour both on and off the field, consistently supporting one another.
The Junior team finished 4th overall among ten schools.

Intermediate
We started the first match against Saint Mary, an opponent we had faced with confidence before. We were very focused and solid in defence, although in attack we struggled by not playing simply or spreading the play as required. Nevertheless, we played a great game and secured a draw that we could have comfortably won.
In the second match, against St. Matthew’s, we made numerous errors related to rugby knowledge and penalties, which proved costly when we were penalised. Our defence dropped in quality compared to the first game, and our attack remained weak, complicating matters instead of playing simply.
The third match, versus Moorlands, marked a turning point: we began playing more straightforwardly and our game improved significantly. Although we made some defensive errors, we managed to win a great match.
In the fourth match against San Lucas, we were clearly superior and were able to impose our game, winning by a wide margin.
In the final match against Moorlands, we started off sluggishly, allowing the opposition to score three tries. Despite not giving up and striving for a comeback, time ran out before we could overturn the result.
In my opinion, although we finished fourth, we gave our all and demonstrated a high level of rugby throughout the tournament.
The team’s strengths today were: a proactive attitude, good handling skills, and constant communication. Areas for improvement include supporting each other more, defensive organisation, and simplifying our style of play.

Intermediate 
It was an excellent Saturday of rugby for the Intermediate team, who, despite only having eight players available, represented the school impeccably. They competed with great commitment in every match and gave their all.
Congratulations to the entire Intermediate team, especially the eight players who took part.

Junior
Fue un gran torneo para nuestro equipo representativo. El clima acompañó y los chicos pudieron desplegar todo su potencial en la cancha. Durante toda la jornada mantuvieron un comportamiento ejemplar, tanto dentro como fuera del campo, con un apoyo constante entre ellos.
El equipo Junior finalizó en 4º lugar general entre diez colegios.
Felicitaciones a todos los que participaron.

Intermediate
Comenzamos el primer partido contra Saint Mary, un rival al que veníamos enfrentando con confianza. Estuvimos muy concentrados y sólidos en defensa, aunque en ataque nos complicamos al no jugar con sencillez ni abrir el juego como correspondía. Aun así, hicimos un gran partido y conseguimos un empate que podríamos haber ganado con tranquilidad.
En el segundo partido, frente a St. Matthew, cometimos numerosos errores relacionados con el conocimiento del reglamento y penalizaciones, que nos costaron caro cuando nos sancionaron con palos. En defensa bajamos el nivel respecto al primer encuentro y en ataque seguimos mostrando debilidades, complicándonos en lugar de jugar con simpleza.
El tercer partido, contra Moorlands, marcó un cambio importante: comenzamos a jugar de forma más sencilla y nuestro juego mejoró considerablemente. En defensa, aunque cometimos algunos errores tácticos, logramos ganar un gran partido.
En el cuarto partido frente a San Lucas, fuimos claramente superiores y pudimos imponer nuestro juego, ganando con amplia diferencia.
En el último partido contra Moorlands, entramos desconectados y permitimos que el rival anotara tres tries. A pesar de que no nos rendimos y buscamos la remontada, el tiempo no alcanzó para darle vuelta al resultado.
En mi opinión, aunque terminamos en cuarto lugar, dejamos todo en la cancha y mostramos un alto nivel de rugby durante todo el torneo.
Los aspectos positivos del equipo hoy fueron: la actitud proactiva, el juego de manos y la comunicación constante. Por otro lado, debemos mejorar el apoyo mutuo, la organización defensiva y la simplicidad en el juego.

Intermediate 
Fue un excelente sábado de rugby para el equipo Intermediate, que a pesar de presentarse con sólo ocho jugadores, representó al colegio de manera impecable. Compitieron con entrega en todos los partidos, dando todo de sí.
