Discovering the World of the Internet in Year 1
On the occasion of International Internet Day, celebrated on May 15th, our Design & Technology space became the setting for a learning adventure to explore what the internet is and how it forms part of our everyday lives.
We began by watching the video “A Journey through Cyberspace” from Digiaventuras, which helped us understand in a simple and fun way how the internet arrives in our country, how devices are connected, and the many possibilities it offers.
Following this introduction, we talked about all the things we can do thanks to the internet: learn, communicate, play, create, and explore. We also reflected together on the importance of browsing safely and responsibly.
To wrap up this experience, the children will complete activities on Seesaw using the computer, where they can express what they have learned and agree together on some rules for safe internet use.
A wonderful opportunity to learn about the digital world with a curious, critical, and creative mindset!
Descubriendo el mundo del internet en Year 1
Con motivo del Día Internacional del Internet, celebrado el 15 de mayo, en el espacio de Design & Technology nos embarcamos en una aventura de aprendizaje para conocer qué es el internet y cómo forma parte de nuestra vida cotidiana.
Comenzamos viendo el video “Un viaje por el ciberespacio” de las Digiaventuras, que nos ayudó a entender de manera sencilla y divertida cómo llega el internet a nuestro país, cómo se conectan los dispositivos y qué posibilidades nos brinda su uso.
A partir de este recorrido, conversamos sobre las múltiples cosas que podemos hacer gracias al internet: aprender, comunicarnos, jugar, crear y explorar. Además, reflexionamos juntos sobre la importancia de navegar de forma segura y responsable.
Como cierre de esta experiencia, los chicos realizarán actividades en Seesaw desde la computadora, donde podrán expresar lo que aprendieron y acordar juntos algunas reglas para usar internet de manera cuidada.
