Women’s Football Tournament
The girls were feeling very nervous on tournament day. Due to a few absences, we had just enough students to field each team.
The White team played their first match against SG Red. It was a very tight game, with standout plays where the goalkeepers were the main protagonists. They drew 1–1.
Their second match was against Northlands Blue. Beyond friendships, they played a great game, but lost 2–0.
Finally, they played against SGN White, where there were some very good plays and great teamwork.
The final match was for 3rd and 4th place. It was a very hard-fought game that ended 1–1, so it had to be decided on penalties. After several goals scored by Northlands, a save by SG White gave them the victory.
Northlands White: 4th place overall
The Blue team played their first match against SG White. It was a very competitive game, with strong individual performances. After several team plays, they opened the scoring to go 1–0 up. In stoppage time they scored a second goal to extend the lead. Final score: 2–0 to Northlands.
Their second match was against Northlands White, where we saw excellent teamwork, and they won 2–0.
Their third match was against SG Red, in a game with lots of contested possession and long balls. They couldn’t finish in the key moments. The final result was 0–0.
The final was against SG Red. After analysing the previous match, they were able to carry out the planned strategies. They opened the scoring from a corner and a shot. After keeping the game in midfield, in the last play a long-range shot produced a second goal for Northlands, giving them both the match victory and 1st place in the tournament.
Highlights: The commitment, determination and dedication shown by everyone to face so many matches. Their joy in playing and their effort were also truly outstanding.
Las chicas se encontraban muy ansiosas el dia del torneo, debido a algunas ausencias, contábamos con la cantidad justa de alumnas para cada equipo.
El equipo blanco, tuvo su primer encuentro contra SG Rojo, en donde fue muy cerrado, con jugadas destacadas en donde las arqueras fueron protagonistas. Empataron 1 a 1.
El segundo encuentro fue contra Northlands Azul, en donde más alla de las amistades pudieron realizar un gran partido, en donde perdieron 2 a 0.
Por último, jugaron contra SGN Blanco, en donde hubo muy buenas jugadas, y gran trabajo en equipo.
El partido final fue por el 3 y 4 puesto, en donde se presentó un partido muy disputado terminaron 1 a 1, teniendo que definir por penales. Luego de varios goles convertidos por Northlands, una atajada por parte de SG Blanco les dio la victoria.
Northalnds Blanco: Puesto en la general 4 puesto
El equipo azul, tuvo su primer encuentro contra SG Blanc. Fue un partido muy disputado, teniendo muy buenas actuaciones individuales. Luego de varias jugadas en equipo, lograron abrir el marcador y ponerse 1 a 0. En tiempo de descuento anotaron un segundo gol para ampliar la ventaja. Resultado 2 a 0 a favor de Northlands.
El segundo encuentro fue contra Northlands Banco, en donde se vieron muy buenas jugadas en equipo, logrando la victoria 2 a 0.
El tercer partido, fue contra SG Rojo, en donde se presentó un panorama de mucha disputa de pelota, y pelotazo largo. No pudieron definir en los momentos claves. El resultado final fue 0 a 0.
La final a disputar fue contra SG Rojo, luego de haber realizado un análisis del partido previo, pudieron llevar adelante las estrategia planteadas. Abriendo el marcador con un corner y un remate. Luego de mantener el partido en el medio campo, en la última jugada, un remate de media distancia, proporciona el segundo gol para Northlands, dándoles la victoria del partido y el 1 puesto del torneo.
A destacar: El compromiso, la entrega y la dedicación de parte de todas para poder afrontar tantos partidos, La alegría con la que jugaron y el esfuerzo es algo a destacar.
