We were honored to receive a visit from Agustín, a park ranger from a protected area.

In Y6, within UOI 4, in the unit “Sharing the Planet”, whose central idea is: “The responsible use of resources and the protection of natural environments are essential to mitigate environmental and social issues,” and as part of the line of inquiry of the Exhibition “The importance of caring for the natural resources of our continent,” we had the opportunity to welcome Agustín Mezzabota, a park ranger from a protected area.
During his visit, he showed us the different protected areas in Argentina, explained the roles of a park ranger, and taught us how we should behave when visiting these spaces. He also explained what to do in case of a fire, reinforcing the importance of protecting and respecting nature.
This unit is an inquiry into the interdependence of the human and natural worlds through: rights, responsibilities and dignity for all; pathways towards just, peaceful and reimagined futures; and nature, complexity, coexistence and wisdom.

En Y6, dentro de la UOI 4, en la unidad “Sharing the Planet”, cuya idea central es: “El uso responsable de los recursos y la protección de los ambientes naturales son esenciales para mitigar los problemas ambientales y sociales”, y en el marco de la línea de indagación del exhibition “Importancia del cuidado de los recursos naturales de nuestro continente”, tuvimos la oportunidad de recibir a Agustín Mezzabota, guardaparques de un área protegida. Durante su visita, nos mostró las diferentes áreas protegidas de Argentina, explicó las funciones de un guardaparques y nos enseñó cómo debemos actuar al visitar estos espacios. Además, nos explicó qué hacer en caso de un incendio, reforzando la importancia de cuidar y respetar la naturaleza. Esta unidad es una indagación sobre la interdependencia de los mundos humano y natural a través de: derechos, responsabilidades y dignidad de todos; caminos hacia futuros justos, pacíficos y reinventados; y la naturaleza, la complejidad, la coexistencia y la sabiduría.
