Shakespeare Festival 2025

Northlands Primary Olivos was invited to participate in the annual Shakespeare Festival held every September. The event took place at the Brightman Hall, where numerous schools competed in a variety of disciplines.
Our Y5 students began working on the theme of “sonnets” back in April. They thoroughly researched who Shakespeare was, what a sonnet is, and ultimately, everyone wrote their own original sonnets.
In the end, Aviva Dantes Smith’s sonnet was chosen to represent our school at the festival! Aviva was brilliantly supported by: Violet Arana Wolfe, Victoria Pels, Fausto Zorraquín, Eva Szifron Marull, Martina Prats Valls, Mora Ruete, Martina Heller, Trinidad Frassia, Alfonso Martinez Carricart Antonini, Lucas Frangella Stafforini, Luis Posse, Elena Maclean, Lorenzo Winograd, and Luca Massa.
This committed and enthusiastic group of students recited the sonnet and proudly won 1st prize in their category!
A huge congratulations to all of them! They represented the school with an impeccable performance and truly outstanding work.

Northlands Primary Olivos fue invitado a participar en el Festival Shakespeare anual que se celebra cada septiembre. El evento tuvo lugar en el Brightman Hall, donde numerosas escuelas compitieron en distintas disciplinas.
Nuestros alumnos de Year 5 comenzaron a trabajar en abril con la temática de los “sonetos”. Investigaron quién fue Shakespeare, qué es un soneto y, finalmente, ¡cada uno escribió su propio soneto original!
Entre todos, fue seleccionado el soneto de Aviva Dantes Smith para representar a nuestra escuela en el festival. Este grupo comprometido y entusiasta recitó el soneto y ¡ganó con orgullo el 1er premio en su categoría!
¡Felicitaciones enormes a todos ellos! Representaron a la escuela con una actuación impecable y un trabajo realmente sobresaliente.
