On Monday, April 28th, Year 4 students took part in their Friendship Day, a special event framed within the Personal and Social Development Programme (PSE). The main goal of the day was to foster self-awareness and connection with others, while promoting teamwork through a day dedicated to building community.
The activity took place at the school grounds in Tortuguitas and was organised around the four pillars of the programme: “Being transcendent”, “Being with oneself”, “Being with others in community” and “Being in action”. Each module offered opportunities for individual and group reflection, for sharing, for getting to know each other more deeply, and for strengthening bonds of friendship.
During the day, students created a collective mural where each child left their handprint, symbolising what they contribute to their class group. We shared lunch outdoors, enjoying conversation, connection and some free playtime.
Additionally, each student completed their vital pentagon, a tool for reflecting on healthy habits, and took part in various games designed to continue encouraging teamwork and fun.
It was a meaningful experience, for both students and teachers, that left a lasting impression on everyone who took part.
