Cultural Diversity Day Assembly – Year 2 OP

This Monday, we celebrated Cultural Diversity Day at Olivos Primary with a beautiful assembly led by our Year 2 students, who invited us to reflect on our history and the importance of respect and coexistence among cultures.
The children presented a short historical journey through the conquest and colonisation of the Americas and shared their reflections on the importance of valuing cultural diversity and recognising the richness it brings to our identity.
To represent these ideas, they performed colourful and joyful artistic presentations, showcasing different musical genres from across our continent: a milonga, a zamba, and a song accompanied by percussion instruments. It was a wonderful collaborative project between the teaching team and the Music teachers.

Este lunes, celebramos el Día del Respeto a la Diversidad Cultural en nuestra Primaria de Olivos con un hermoso acto a cargo de los alumnos de Year 2, quienes nos invitaron a reflexionar sobre nuestra historia y el valor del respeto y la convivencia entre culturas.
Los chicos y chicas realizaron un pequeño recorrido histórico de la conquista y colonización de América y compartieron sus reflexiones sobre la importancia de valorar la diversidad cultural y reconocer la riqueza que esta aporta a nuestra identidad.
Para representar estos conceptos, realizaron presentaciones artísticas llenas de color y alegría, en las que interpretaron distintos géneros musicales representativos de nuestro continente: una milonga, una zamba y una canción acompañada por instrumentos de percusión. Una hermosa propuesta colaborativa entre el equipo docente y los profesores de Música.
