ADE Inter Hockey & Volleyball

Hockey
The team began the tournament by adapting to the different playing surfaces. The group stage included three matches: two on natural grass and one on synthetic turf.
In the first match, against St. Mark’s, we achieved a 1-1 draw. The second match, against St. John’s, saw a more connected team creating multiple scoring opportunities, although we were unable to convert them; the final score was 0-1, which complicated our chances of qualifying. We depended on other results to progress to the next round.
In the last group-stage match, played on synthetic turf against St. Luke’s, we were defeated 1-2. We then continued in the placement round to determine our final position. There, we beat Florida Day School 1-0 and concluded with a 1-3 defeat to St. John’s.
It was a day full of challenges, in which we learnt the importance of quickly getting into the rhythm of the game, given the limited playing time. Regardless of the results, the experience was enriching and left valuable lessons. We will continue working to keep growing.

Girls’ Volleyball
On a cold morning, the team took to the court with commitment and energy. The group stage was demanding: after a 1-2 loss to St. John’s, they bounced back with a 2-1 victory over SMSI and a solid 2-0 win against BDS, which secured them second place in their group.
In the next stage, they faced very strong opponents. They lost 1-2 to Balmoral and 0-2 to VDS, but closed with a convincing 2-0 win against St. Hilda’s, securing a well-deserved 7th place.
Beyond the results, the team left a very positive impression, standing out for their attitude, commitment, and strong desire to continue improving.

Boys’ Volleyball
The day began with low temperatures, but the team delivered a strong performance. We won our first three matches against FDS, St. Matthew’s B, and SMSI, which allowed us to reach the semi-final. There, we faced St. Matthew’s A, a technically superior team, and although we competed with determination and effort, we could not secure the win.
In the third-place match, we finished the tournament with a 2-0 victory, achieving an excellent result.
As a team, we have committed to improving our sense of group responsibility, as some last-minute absences affected our organisation.
It was a great effort from the team, earning a valuable 3rd place at the Ade Inter.

Hockey
El equipo comenzó el torneo adaptándose a las distintas superficies de juego. La fase de grupos incluyó tres partidos: dos en césped natural y uno en sintético.
En el primer encuentro, frente a St. Mark’s, logramos un empate 1-1. El segundo partido, contra St. John’s, mostró a un equipo más conectado y generando múltiples situaciones de gol, aunque sin poder concretarlas; el resultado final fue 0-1, lo que complicó nuestras posibilidades de clasificación. Dependíamos de otros resultados para avanzar a la siguiente ronda.
En el último partido de la fase, jugado en sintético contra St. Luke’s, caímos 1-2. De esta manera, continuamos en la zona para definir la mejor posición final. Allí, vencimos 1-0 a Florida Day School y cerramos con una derrota 1-3 frente a St. John’s.
Fue una jornada de grandes desafíos, en la que aprendimos la importancia de entrar rápidamente en ritmo de juego, dado el tiempo limitado de cada partido. Más allá de los resultados, la experiencia fue enriquecedora y dejó aprendizajes valiosos. Continuaremos trabajando para seguir creciendo.

Volley Femenino
En una mañana fría, el equipo salió a la cancha con compromiso y energía. La fase de grupos fue exigente: tras caer 1-2 ante St. John’s, se recuperaron con una victoria 2-1 frente a SMSI y un sólido 2-0 contra BDS, lo que les permitió clasificar en el segundo puesto del grupo.
En la siguiente instancia, enfrentaron a rivales de gran nivel. Perdieron 1-2 frente a Balmoral y 0-2 ante VDS, pero cerraron con una contundente victoria 2-0 contra St. Hilda’s, asegurando un merecido 7º puesto.
Más allá de los resultados, el equipo dejó una imagen muy positiva, destacando por su actitud, compromiso y el deseo de seguir mejorando.

Volley Masculino
La jornada comenzó con bajas temperaturas, pero con un gran rendimiento del equipo. Ganamos los tres primeros partidos frente a FDS, St. Matthew’s B y SMSI, lo que nos permitió avanzar a la semifinal. Allí nos enfrentamos a St. Matthew’s A, un equipo técnicamente superior, y aunque competimos con actitud y esfuerzo, no logramos imponernos.
En el partido por el tercer puesto, cerramos el torneo con una victoria 2-0, obteniendo un excelente resultado.
Como equipo, asumimos el compromiso de seguir mejorando en la responsabilidad grupal, ya que algunas ausencias con poca antelación afectaron la organización.
Gran entrega del equipo, logrando un valioso 3º puesto en el Ade Inter.
