A Learning Journey: Traveling Through Argentina with Chancho

As part of the inquiry unit “Chancho va!”, the K5 students investigated what they would need to travel to different provinces of Argentina, accompanying a lovable character who asked for their help to visit his friends. They chose the means of transportation based on the distance to travel and the geographical features of the province to visit. After their first trip, during which they learned about the fauna, flora, culture, and more of the place, they invited their families to join the return journey. To do so, they planned and built the space and elements needed for play, taking on different roles. It was a very enjoyable experience, where they were also able to share everything they had learned with their families.

En el marco de la unidad de indagación “Chancho va!”, los alumnos de K5 investigaron qué necesitarían para viajar a diferentes provincias argentinas, acompañando a un entrañable personaje que les pidió ayuda para visitar a sus amigos. Eligieron el medio de transporte según la distancia a recorrer y las características geográficas de la provincia a visitar. Tras un primer viaje en el que conocieron la fauna, flora, cultura, entre otros aspectos del lugar, invitaron a sus familias a unirse al viaje de regreso. Para ello, planificaron y construyeron el espacio y los elementos necesarios para jugar, asumiendo distintos roles. Fue una experiencia llena de disfrute, en la que, además, pudieron compartir con sus familias todo lo aprendido.
