NORDELTA KINDER
This project began with a simple question: What was life like during colonial times?
From there, the K5 children explored how people dressed, what they ate, what games children played back then, which things existed that no longer do, and what we have today that didn’t exist at the time.
Later, the children wanted to share everything they had learned, and that’s how the idea of putting on a performance was born. Each student, exercising their agency, was able to choose how to take part, according to their interests, abilities, and preferred forms of expression. They organized themselves into five groups, and each child freely decided which one to join. From that moment on, they took on the responsibility of rehearsing and staying committed to their choice — an important part of their learning experience.
Each group not only showed what they had learned, but also what they felt and wished to share. We are truly proud of the path they’ve traveled and of the dedication shown by everyone.

Conmemoración del Primer Gobierno Patrio
Este proyecto comenzó con una pregunta: ¿Cómo era vivir en la época colonial?
A partir de allí, los chicos de K5 investigaron cómo se vestían, qué comían, a qué jugaban los niños de aquel entonces, qué cosas existían que hoy ya no están y cuáles de las que tenemos ahora todavía no existían.
Luego, surgió el deseo de compartir todo lo aprendido, y así nació la idea de organizar un acto. Cada alumno, haciendo uso de la agencia, pudo elegir cómo participar, de acuerdo con sus intereses, habilidades y formas de expresión. Se conformaron cinco grupos, y cada uno tuvo la libertad de decidir en cuál quería estar. A partir de esa elección, asumieron con compromiso la responsabilidad de ensayar y sostener su decisión, lo cual también fue parte fundamental del aprendizaje.
Cada grupo no solo mostró lo que aprendió, sino también lo que sintió y quiso compartir. Estamos muy orgullosos del recorrido realizado y del compromiso de todos.

OLIVOS PRIMARY
On Monday, May 26th, we celebrated the first national commemoration of the year in Primary, honoring the May Revolution of 1810—a key moment in our country’s history that marked the beginning of the independence process.
It was a special event, especially for our Y1 students, who experienced their first school celebration and worked enthusiastically to prepare it.
The event was part of the inquiry unit “Detectives of the Past,” where students explored how people lived during colonial times and reflected on how societies change over time. They investigated customs, games, and daily life in the past, developing critical thinking and collaboration skills.
During the celebration, they presented a video highlighting key historical events, dressed as characters from the era, shared creative street cries, and performed a joyful candombe. We concluded by reflecting on the revolutionary actions our country needs today, and how our everyday actions can help build the nation we dream of.
El lunes 26 de mayo celebramos en la Primaria el primer acto patrio del año, conmemorando la Revolución de Mayo de 1810. Fue un evento especial, especialmente para los niños y niñas de Y1, quienes lo vivieron por primera vez y trabajaron con entusiasmo en su preparación.
La celebración se enmarcó en la unidad de indagación “Detectives del pasado”, donde los estudiantes exploraron cómo vivían las personas en la época colonial y reflexionaron sobre los cambios sociales a lo largo del tiempo. Investigaron costumbres, juegos y formas de vida del pasado, desarrollando pensamiento crítico y habilidades colaborativas.
Durante el acto, presentaron un video con los hechos históricos, se caracterizaron como personajes de la época, compartieron pregones y bailaron un alegre candombe. Cerramos con una reflexión sobre los actos revolucionarios que nuestra Patria necesita hoy, destacando el valor de nuestras acciones cotidianas para construir el país que soñamos.
NORDELTA SECONDARY
May 25th, 1810 marks the beginning of Argentina’s independence process. On that day, the First National Government was established in Buenos Aires, following the removal of the Spanish Viceroy. This was a defining moment in the country’s history, representing the first step toward breaking free from colonial rule and forging a sovereign nation.
This year, in commemoration of this national holiday, the Mathematics Department had the honour of leading the institutional ceremony. The program featured speeches, student-led artistic performances, and a reading and interpretation of the national anthem, among other meaningful tributes.
In Nordelta, the event was enhanced by the distinguished participation of the Military Band of Ituzaingó from the Artillery Regiment “Brigadier General Tomás de Iriarte,” which performed Mi Bandera along with other patriotic compositions.
The Mathematics Department extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in the preparation and realization of the May 25th ceremony — students, academic staff, and support personnel — for their commitment and dedication to this memorable occasion.
El 25 de mayo de 1810 marca el inicio del proceso de independencia argentina. Ese día, en Buenos Aires, se conformó la Primera Junta de Gobierno tras la destitución del virrey español. Fue un momento decisivo en la historia del país, ya que representó el primer paso hacia la ruptura del dominio colonial y la construcción de una nación libre.
Este año, con motivo de la conmemoración de esta fecha patria, el Departamento de Matemática tuvo el honor de liderar la ceremonia institucional. Discursos, representaciones artísticas a cargo de los estudiantes, y la lectura e interpretación de la letra del Himno Nacional, entre otras actividades, formaron parte del emotivo homenaje.
En Nordelta, el acto contó con la destacada participación de la Banda Militar de Ituzaingó del Regimiento de Artillería “Brigadier General Tomás de Iriarte”, que interpretó Mi Bandera junto con otras piezas alusivas a la fecha.
El Departamento de Matemática agradece profundamente a todas las personas que estuvieron involucradas en la realización del acto del 25 de mayo: estudiantes, equipo docente y no docente. Su compromiso y dedicación hicieron posible una conmemoración tan significativa para toda la comunidad educativa.
