NHSMUN 2022

NHSMUN 2022. A new international experience

Between March 18 and 28, students from Years 11 and 12 from both sites travelled to Washington and New York to participate in the NHSMUN activity, International Model United Nations, one of the most prestigious international UNModels

The trip included diplomatic activities, such as a visit to the Argentine Embassy in Washington, where we were received by the head of the Political Affairs Section. Likewise, at the Argentine Consulate in NY, we had the unique opportunity to exchange opinions with the Consul and with the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Permanent Mission to the UN about current issues and Argentine diplomacy. We also carried out cultural activities such as visits to museums and historical monuments in both cities

But the central activity of the trip was the participation in the NU Model, where, over 4 days of intense sessions, our students exchanged positions, debated and sought consensual solutions along with more than 2000 students from all over the world. Once again, Northlands School was recognised with a distinction for the work done.

Modelo Naciones Unidas 2022. Una nueva experiencia internacional

Entre el 18 y el 28 de marzo alumnos de Años 11 y 12 de ambas sedes viajaron a Washington y Nueva York para participar de la actividad NHSMUN, Modelo internacional de Naciones Unidas, uno de los más prestigiosos a nivel internacional. 

El viaje incluyó actividades diplomáticas, como una visita a la Embajada Argentina en Washington, donde fuimos recibidos por el jefe de la Sección Asuntos Políticos. Asimismo, en el Consulado Argentino en NY, tuvimos la inigualable  oportunidad de conversar con el Cónsul y con  el ministro Plenipotenciario de la Misión Permanente Argentina ante NU acerca de temas de actualidad y diplomacia argentina. Realizamos también actividades culturales como visitas a museos, sitios y monumentos históricos en ambas ciudades

Pero la actividad central del viaje fue la participación  en el Modelo NU, donde, a lo largo de 4 días de intensas sesiones, los chicos intercambiaron posiciones, debatieron y buscaron soluciones consensuadas junto a más de 2000 estudiantes de todo el mundo. Una vez más, Northlands School fue reconocida con una distinción  por el trabajo realizado.
