Friendly Debate with Southern International School

Friendly Debate with Southern International School

Olivos & Nordelta – November 2020

NORTHLANDS’ Debate Club is an extra-curricular activity in which students have the opportunity to develop their thinking and oral skills. Any student at school who is willing to participate in discussions, oral development, and debate training can join the club and have fun discussing, once a week, hot topics that can range from local simple issues to international politics. The members of the Debate Club also participate in the interschool debate competitions that ADA (Argentine Debate Association) organizes every year.

Currently, every Monday, the students have been participating in interschool Friendly Debates. This week’s Friendly Debate was against Southern International School, and the topic was: Should the permanent members of the UN Security Council be changed for the benefit of the International Security System?

An incredibly important and complex issue! We hope you enjoy this snippet of their debate.
